June 13, 2022, Kolkata: Hospitals Yashoda Hyderabad, one of the largest super specialty hospitals in India, inaugurated a well-equipped clinic in Salt Lake, Kolkata in the presence of Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director of Yashoda Hospitals. The clinic will open the doors to a host of world-class medical technologies and services to patients in the Eastern Region and Bangladesh.
“Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad offers the best medical services for Lung Transplantation which are not yet available in the eastern region. Over the past year, we have performed more than 200 liver and 35 lung transplants and cared for patients from 45 countries around the world by providing world-class medical services by performing complicated surgeries,” said Dr Pavan Gorukanti, Director of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad.
“Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad is gearing up to introduce the latest MR Linac (MRI-based) technology for the first time in India. Currently, there are only 50 installations of this technology in the world that have a very high level of effectiveness with fewer side effects for cancer patients. Additionally, Yashoda Hospitals has reached the milestone of providing Rapid Arc technology treatment to over 25,000 cancer patients which is the highest in India,” Dr. Gorukanti said.
He said, “The largest number of bone marrow transplants in India have been performed by Yashoda hospitals, along with multi-organ cadaver transplants in which we have gained expertise in the field.”
The newly established clinic in Salt Lake, Kolkata will focus on a range of specialties including gastro, neurology, orthopedics, urology, oncology, nephrology, pulmonology and cardiology. Apart from these services, this clinic will guide in matters of telemedicine services for all super specialties. The service includes second opinion and treatment estimates, pre-bookings and end-to-end assistance for patients who are planning to visit Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad for treatment.
The launch is another step by Yashoda Hospitals to expand its presence across India to provide quality medical care. This clinic of Yashoda Hospitals was designed with the aim of providing world-class medical care. With this new facility in Salt Lake, we hope to make quality health care more accessible to residents of the Eastern Region.
