Speech Therapy and Hearing Clinic Receptionist job at MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY – SYDNEY AUSTRALIA

  • Salary: From $69,152 to $74,531 per year (HEW4), plus 17% employer pension contribution and annual leave. Casuals will be paid HEW level 4, $47.33/hr + 10% superannuation.

The role

We are currently looking for experienced front desk or customer service staff to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a permanent or casual full-time basis.

Working as part of a team, this is a key role supporting the running of the Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic through customer service and administrative support.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide reception and administrative services for the Clinic and its activities according to the Clinic’s protocols.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls with courtesy and empathy.
  • Manage the booking of client appointments to ensure efficient use of clinic rooms for clinicians and student placements.
  • Prepare and process invoices, reimbursements and payments to assist with clinic billing and accounts.
  • Prepare and process claims payments for Medicare and Hearing Services Program.
  • Answer questions from staff, visitors and members of the public regarding the Clinic and its activities.

About you

You have a first experience in reception and administration. Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably experience in the hearing industry, is desirable but not essential. You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys interacting with customers to provide excellent customer service with every interaction. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic provides best practice clinical services in audiology and speech-language pathology. The clinic is designed to provide high quality integrated health services and excellence in clinical training. Clients are seen by audiologists or speech-language pathologists with students under supervision as part of their master’s programs. Housed in the state-of-the-art Australian Hearing Hub, the clinic has excellent facilities and is located alongside key partners. The Clinic offers a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitation services in speech therapy and audiology to people of all ages with speech and hearing difficulties. Our services help Australians participate in everyday life – at home, at school, at work or socially.
